It's much appreciated, and great to hear that so many share my love of the landscape and the history.

I've been out at a meeting of the Romantic Novelists' Association Northern Chapter near Harrogate today - good meal, good wine, and a fantastic setting in a true ye olde worlde stone-built pub where the light is low and the ceiling beams lower still. We were talking about choosing names, titles, and places, and I was explaining why I called my two main characters Nicholas Blaketon and Alice Linwood. It's all to do with depth of perception, the multiple levels in which we write, some of which readers will pick up almost by osmosis, and some they'll miss entirely. Let me try it with you: considering this novel has links to paganism, what connections do the names conjure in your minds?

Enjoy! - LindaLinda Acasterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03096791092366530129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5350339348313810194.post-58150841216938959962009-11-05T17:55:29.351+00:002009-11-05T17:55:29.351+00:00Congrats on the release, Linda.
