Valentine's Confessions

1. I once had a dozen red roses sent to me. They were really beautiful and they smelt divine.
2. I once had a Valentine card that I never sent (To my history teacher. He was smashing.)
3. Last year, my hubby gave me a cherry tree for a Valentine. I love sweet cherries!
4. I once had a card from an ex with my name mis-spelt.
5. My parents have a special Valentine card that appears every year - it shows a chicken on top of a huge pile of eggs and inside the caption reads: 'Everything I have is yours.'
6. My ideal Valentine would be a chocolate card. With my name in icing sugar.
7. My favourite Valentine meal is pizza, salad and a nice wine. (With cherries to follow.)
8. One of my Valentine gifts this year is a donation to Haiti.
By the way, the Siren Bookstrand Readers' Group is holding an event for Valentine's week, where we ask questions and give prizes (I'm offering a download of Bronze Lightning on the 12th., so don't miss it!).

I love the chocoalte card too!!!
When my nieces and nephews first new what Valentines day was all about.. I used to send them those little Valentine cards you give out at school, but I wouldn't sign them with my name. I would just sign them with something like "Your secret Valentine" or something like that.. They loved it. But eventualy they would figure out where they came from. It was fun and the parents enjoyed it too..

Thanks, Jen! Thanks, Linda! Thanks, Kaye! Kathleen - thanks for sharing the little valentines - that's a lovely custom.
Well, we can all wish for our choccie cards....

Lindsay, if it would make it across the pond, I'd send you a chocolate card...

Wow, I love those Valentine confessions... I once had a dozen red roses and they did smell divine!

Cherries are definitely divine, too.

Long ago, my sister lived next to Washington DC. I went to visit her in the spring and the cherry blossoms bloomed... omygosh, it is fairyland.

My Siren-BookStrand day is the 11th. I'm giving away a download of Stallion of Ash and Flame.

Brilliant, Savanna! Can't wait. I have STALLION already, but I'll try to get in to chat.
The cherry blossom sounds glorious!
Thanks for the offer of the card.

Hi Lindsay!

Loved your confessions. How terrible to have your name misspelled. Details weren't that valentine's forte! :)

I love, LOVE your idea of a chocolate card. YUM! Your parents' card tradition is sweet. How fun to share something like that!

Lindsay, I knew there was a reason I liked you! lol I adore pizza! Oh, your post has made me hungry and I can't have any of the things listed! Doh!

You're a sweet lady! ((hugs!))
