Lindsay--excellent list. I agree with Paula--Whiskey Creek should be on the list.
I've yearned to be an Avalon author, but they don't take electronic submissions. I just hate the idea of sending all that paper, and then recycling it.
I did, though--twice--early on when I did not understand electronic submissions. I learned two things: they only want "light-hearted" stories. Mine were a little too heavy and dramatic--and a little too sexy. Plus, with the second one, he wrote a letter and suggested this--"If you going to keep doing this, I suggest you get an agent." I took that as a little slam, but maybe not--I never knew what that meant.
