My main new year goal is to concentrate on my indie epub journey. Attract more readers to my works. Get more of my writing out there. Next out is my second angel story.

I`m very excited about my first Tween Mystery written under pen name Lora Richards. It is the first book in my Dee Days Mystery Series. Dee Days & bonus Dee Nights, coming in January!

In the New Year I am wanting to write the next book in this series. Who knows, maybe I`ll be the next Nancy Drew! *wink

I don't usually make any resolutions, since I inevitably break them well before the end of January! I think my goal is simply to keep on writing, and hoping that people enjoy my stories. My romance 'His Leading Lady' was published in 2011, and 'Fragrance of Violets' will be published in 2012. Whiskey Creek Press have also accepted a third novel (no release date yet) and I have a fourth book almost ready for submission. So here's to 2012 - bring it on! And good luck to all with publishing and selling.

HI, Lindsay, and Happy New Year. I just got Christmas Sleeping Beauty and look forward to reading it. My res is (and I hate making them) is to organize my marketing into two mornings a week and get back to actual writing. My second mystery in the buried treasure series comes out in April from Muse: The Map Quilt.

Lindsay--I don't make resolutions, as such, maybe list a few goals..same thing? But usually I like to throw out things. My next blog is about that very thing...things you should throw out for the New Year.
One goal is to self-publish one thing. I'm such a coward, I cannot imagine how others blithely go about this...but I do have this great desire to do one. That's my big goal--my other big goal is "to be happy!" And so, Happy New Year to you!

Have a great new Year, Lindsay! I'm looking forward to my first tween novel, Summer of the Eagles, being published in March. My goal is to FINISH all the pieces of writing I've started (or as many as possible) and get them out.

I'd downloaded Christmas Sleeping Beauty and hoping to read it over the next few days.

HNY, everyone! I'm hoping to be blogging(2x/wk min--and to make WP's Freshly Pressed page :)

I also have an MS I want to submit and three others in the works to bring to completion.

Finally, maybe switch jobs to allow me more time to write!

That will do it. Good luck to all!

Thanks, Lindsay!

I like to list writing goals, instead of resolutions, every year to keep my writing projects on track.

Susan’s 2012 writing goals

1. Finish and submit two short spring/summer stories to romance magazine.

2. Proofread ‘Thoroughly Modern Amanda’ my time travel novella.

3. Submit novella to editor.

4. Change title and type new copy of my out-of-print paranormal novella in preparation for self publishing.

5. Plot out new novel.

6. Self publish paranormal novella.

7. Write first draft of new novel.

8. Write and submit more short stories.

9. Plot out new novella.

And my new release, Cassidy's War, officially comes out January 13, 2012 from the Wild Rose Press. Print copies are already available and you can enter a drawing to win copies at http://susanmacatee.wordpress.com and leave a comment on any post up until release day.

Blurb: The Civil War is over, but Cassidy's War is just beginning.

Cassidy Stuart longs to attend medical school. Training beside her physician father and serving as a nurse during the war have only increased her desire to be a doctor with her own practice. When the man who left her at the altar returns, she’s determined not to let him upset the plans she's set for herself.

Until his mission is accomplished, George Masters must hide his identity as a Pinkerton agent as he investigates a physician living in George's former hometown, a short distance from Cassidy's home. When he finds Cassidy hasn’t married, he hopes he can rekindle their love while trying to protect her and the townsfolk from the evil Dr. Madison.

Can their love be renewed despite the villain's desire for revenge against them both?

My year begins with a new computer desk and an organized office. I have two works in process and hope to have both finished before the middle of '12.

My New Year's resolutions go in one year and out the other, but I'd like to convert my guest room into a new study. Writing wise, I have two books coming out in 2012, The Sentence and Her Kind of Man. I'm also plugging mt last novel A New Dream which is on sale for .99 at both Barnes and Noble and Amazon. I hope everyone has a wonderful 2012.

Hi Lindsay and everyone,
I am the world's worst about breaking my own resolutions--I have a problem with authority--even my own (child of the 60's)LOL But I have decided to "be kind to Cheryl" and do something nice for her instead. And that means...cleaning up my pit of an office and like Celia, getting rid of some stuff! So if I have any kind of a resolution, I guess that would have to be it--and maybe it will help me be more productive. I have several projects in the works. I'm especially excited about two new stories that I'm getting ready to write in connection with a western writers' group I belong to, the WESTERN FICTIONEERS. I have also just completed the first of a trilogy of novellas for WESTERN TRAIL BLAZER PUBLISHING that could be for young adult or adults. It is called KANE'S REDEMPTION, and is told from the POV of the young protagonist, Will Green, who is kidnapped by the Apache and rescued by a mysterious man named Jacobi Kane. Got to write 2 more in that series--it doesn't have any romance, but I'm "stepping out" of my comfort zone a little. I also have a contemporary romantic suspense novel under consideration with TWRP right now. Here's hoping for good things for everyone, writing wise, health-wise and in all aspects of life for 2012. Watch for KANE'S REDEMPTION within the next month or so. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ooops, I also forgot to say that I have a story coming out with Chicken Soup for the Soul in February 2012 in their Messages From Heaven anthology--It's called TOUCH OF HEAVEN, about something that happened after my Mom passed 4 years ago. AND, I just learned that an Adams Media Christmas anthology I had a story in several years back has been re-released (no royalties of course for me, but I'm just glad it's back out there.)

My latest Regency comedy, AN INHERITANCE FOR THE BIRDS, comes out on February 1 from The Wild Rose Press.

Excerpt on my website: http://www.lindabanche.com/1352.html

Here's the blurb:

BLURB:
Make the ducks happy and win an estate!

Mr. Christopher "Kit" Winnington can't believe the letter from his late great-aunt's solicitor. In order to inherit her estate, he must win a contest against her companion, Miss Angela Stratton. Whoever makes his great-aunt's pet ducks happy wins.

A contest: What a cork-brained idea. This Miss Stratton is probably a sly spinster who camouflaged her grasping nature from his good-natured relative. There is no way he will let the estate go to a usurper.

Angela never expected her former employer to name her in her will. Most likely, this Mr. Winnington is a trumped-up jackanapes who expects her to give up without a fight. Well, she is made of sterner stuff.

The ducks quack in avian bliss while Kit and Angela dance a duet of desire as they do their utmost to make the ducks--and themselves--happy.

Happy Hogmanay from Scotland! :-)

I don't do resolutions as more often than not I've completely failed. So now I'm 'planning' - much easier and you don't feel as bad when it doesn't happen...

I'm planning to make a success of my new venture, Crooked Cat publishing, release another two novels, and move to the European Alps by the end of 2012.

January 2012 marks six months since the release of Highland Arms, published through The Wild Rose Press.

In February I'll be celebrating the release of my first historical novel, Dark Deceit (an adventure, with only a hint at romance), published through Crooked Cat publishing.

2012 is going to be a good one...

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Lindsay, and to everyone.

I don't make resolutions. That said, I will be making every effort to pen my stories faster, and thus publish more. I'm looking to continuing my Indie publishing journey, and as well, I plan to continue submitting to Siren-Bookstrand.

Currently, I'm working on a New Year themed story for my SHAPESHIFTER SEDUCTIONS line of books.

My New Year Resolution dates back to 2009 when I resolved not to start any new series until I finished and sent out the first book in every other series I'd ever started. That's worked well, Darkness of Dragons Trilogy is all published (Red Rose Publishing); Dangerous Darkness Series has the third book, Terror From Before coming out in January, with only one more, Stranger On The Shore, left to write and for RRP to bring out. The Dagon House Trilogy series has the first book,Taken In, from Champagne Books--coming out in January. So I can start the first book of another series, thus continuing my 2009 resolution. Only have three more series to write the first book in, not counting the one I will begin in January. So I'm catching up. It's the best resolution I've ever made as far as me sticking to it, so I'm renewing it for 2012. Also have 13 West coming out from Books We Love LTD. in January. Not a new book, but a rights-back that they put into SmashWords. They do the cover, too, and this cover is absolutely smashing. You immediately want to know: "What does the eye see?" Jane

I don't usually make resolutions, but I am going to keep writing--hope to have a new series finished--and hope for the best.
I wish that 2012 is a better year. 2011 wasn't such a great year for me so I'm not sorry to see it go.
Happy New Year everyone!
