IF YOU LIKE HISTORICAL ROMANCE...

FAIR BORDER BRIDE by Jen Black

then this is for you!
Who would ever have thought that Alina's father would threaten to kill Harry simply because his name was Scott? or that the infamous Border Reivers would get involved? But when you live in Northumberland in 1543, almost anything can happen - and does!
Put your feet up and enjoy Alina and Harry's trials. It's a historical romance set in the Borderlands between England and Scotland in the year 1543, when Henry VIII is getting old and tetchy. Harry sets off on a mission, stops in Corbridge and gets distracted by Alina Carnaby, daughter of a local landowner. On the spur of the moment he adopts an alias, and Alina is shocked when she learns he calls himself Harry Scott, for her father has a running feud with the Scott family across the Border.
Carnaby won't listen to how Harry saved Alina's life, but throws him into the dungeon and threatens he must take The Leap next morning. Alina knows men don't survive The Leap, and Henry thinks his last night on earth has arrived.

Jen Black creates the atmosphere of the mid 16th century brilliantly. The novel is exciting and really nail-biting when Harry has to make the leap!
Read it and enjoy.
